Publication Update

I am excited to announce that I have my first two items in publications right now.

#1 - The Princess Purse Mini-Album I made a few months back is in the January issue of Scrapbook News & Review Electronic Magazine. You can see it by subscribing at www.scrapbookingnewsandreview.com . There are tons of ideas in each issue - very inspiring.

#2 - My "Pregnancy Brain" Layout is in the Becky's Sketch section of the March Issue of Creating Keepsakes Magazine. My copy has not arrived yet :(, but my friend Amy let me know that it really is in there. I really hope my copy comes tomorrow!

Finally, I know I haven't been posting many projects recently, but I have still been hard at work. I have completed my first design team assignment for the Scrapbook Cupboard, and hope to post that soon. I have also been working on several submissions, which I will post if they are not chosen for publication. One layout is a current favorite of mine (and took a lot of work) so I really hope it gets picked up!

My next project is a collaborative effort --- Daniela & I are making Valentines for her class at school. I will post them when they are done.

The Big Cleanout & January Challenge

So, I am still working on my big purge. I have had everything out of the cupboards at least once, and now it is a matter of sorting, categorizing, containerizing and labeling the last few stacks of things. I got a lot done last night, and have quite the pile of paper to donate to my daughter's preschool.

All of this sorting has made me ask, "What was I thinking?" numerous times. I have finally decided to toss some old storage containers that haven't ever worked for me. I have found several projects that should have been finished years ago. I have found "missing photos". And I have a pile of products that I have never even opened...

Do you have a topic that you never scrapbook but seem to feel you should? I must feel that I need to scrapbook Valentine's Day more, because I seem to have a ton of unopened supplies relating to Valentine's Day/Love/Sweetheart.

So my challenge to myself for January is:

1- Use Valentine's themed product for another (unrelated) project
2- Take more photos of Valentine's Day activities
3- Create a Valentine's Layout for 2009
